Nike Air Max 1 "Limeade"
The Nike Air Max 1 Powerwall Limeade is a brand-new take on the classic Powerwall Air Max 1 that was released as part of the 56 sneaker pack back in 2006. Collectors of all things Nike often refer to the Powerwall pack with grail-like status, and it’s easy to see why. For 2020 the Oregon-based brand is reimagining all the classics!
We can see that the uppers here are crafted from a neat mix of leather, mesh and synthetics for a well-rounded look, with the vintage-looking Air branding being the centre of attention. Classic Nike motifs such as the Swoosh are present on both the lateral and medial sides, with additional Nike Air text embroidered onto the heel. The limeade pine green upper is finished with cream laces for a perfect contrast. The pair are modelled on one of the most famous AM1's of all time, the Powerwall Lemonade, with this year's version switching out the yellow from the original release for green (lime). Nike Air branding is present at the tongue and heel of the shoe, with the look finished with yellow laces, paying homage to the original theme.
Underfoot, a whited-out sole unit showcases the classic Tinker Hatfield design that has been popular since 1987, with the visible Air unit ensuring that they’re as comfortable as ever. Whether you’re a die-hard Nike fan or not, there’s no denying that these are an ultra-clean pair of Air Max.
